Damoa Gong #8 Golden Dragon Helix

  1. Open your feet as wide as your shoulders with toes pointing to the front. Bend your knees moderately while grabbing the ground with your toes firmly. (Damoa Gong form 2, step 1)
  2. Raise your arms so that they are in a straight line with your body as shown above.
  3. Fully extend all your fingers and push the palm of your hands out with your middle finger pointing up. Your hands/palm/arm should be at 90 degrees.
  4. Bend your right elbow to the front so your forearm is parallel to and at the same height as your shoulders. Point your right palm toward the ground.
  5. Bend your left hand behind you, the left elbow is parallel to the shoulders with the left palm facing up. The left forearm should be close to but not touching your waist.
  6. Slowly pushing your right hand to your left while pushing your other hand to the right. At the same time make sure your head is straight toward the front while focusing your eyes on your right middle finger.
  7. Inhale while you are pushing to the sides and hold for 5 seconds as in previous forms.
  8. Switch sides while exhaling out. Repeat 6 times each on both sides.

This form channels “chi (qi)” to the back and shoulders, and cures your shoulder and back pains, and strengthens your heart.
