Damoa Gong #3 Red Dragon Playing
- Open your feet as wide as your shoulders with toes pointing to the front. Bend your knees moderately while grabbing the ground with your toes firmly. (Damoa Gong form 2, step 1)
- Bring your hands together in front of your chest. Your arms should be at the same height as your shoulders and parallel to the ground.
- Now, and throughout this form, be sure to fully extend your fingers with your middle finger pointing up while keeping your arms and hands at a 90 degree angle. The palms of your hands should face each other.
- Start pulling your arms away slowly in a plane parallel to the ground while keeping a 90 degree angle between your hands and arms. Pull your arms apart as far as you can and then reverse the motion until your hands are 20cm from each other. Breathe from your diaphragm. Hold for 5 seconds. (Same as previous forms)
- After 5 seconds, relax and bring your hands together in front your chest while breathing out. Repeat this 12 times.
Benefits
This form focuses the circulation of 「chi (qi)」, and is very beneficial to your cardiovascular system.
